Ahh, grief is an interesting creature isn’t it? So interesting how one can go through the grief process watching life flowing by at such a different pace than you feel like your treadmill is moving. I’m watching a friend dealing with the sudden loss of a close sister and feeling the moments of grief so closely. Strange how even with time those painful feelings can suddenly strike you at moments when you least expect them. Yes,
Days go by and still I think of you my friend. Every time I hear of a tornado warning I think of you Nick. Or I see an interesting cloud formation, or a Celine Dion song. And Judy, I think of you when I get asked a question about a software product, or drive by a sonic, or have a smoothie.
You know, perhaps that is what life is about. Leaving a mark, a memory, to where when someone does something or sees something or hears something, well, they think of you.

My dearest Deb,
I find that I have run out of kleenex now — you so hit the nail on the head! Grief sneaks up on you in ways I did not think possible. It never really goes away does it? And when it does hit, its a wave of pain that physically hurts the heart and there is no noise anymore — just the thought of them and that one word — missing.
I send you angels that will walk with you and stay with you as you walk this journey with your friend. These angels will walk with your friend as well — and her sister is right there too. I’m so sorry for her loss — and for the heartache that you walk with right now. Its all part of the walk, isn’t it? It does make us compassionate, caring, sympathetic as well as appreciative, grateful and always aware of how our moments each day matter. This coupled with all the gifts we receive in people who cross our path — it sums up to be one thing: LIFE.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’m so sorry Patty that you have and are walking the same walk. I send angels back your way, and am thinking it might be Nick and Judy headed your way.
Thank you my friend. Your comment means the world to me.

My friend,
How right you are about people leaving their mark here on earth.
You know, as long as we have memories of those that have gone before, they will remain close to us, always.
You are a good friend to so many people, how beautiful that you write for your friends such beautiful words.
Thank for being my friend – my thoughts are with you this March.
Evie
